Stuck in activation lock with a MacBook that has NO Apple ID setup

the only two options are restart and previous which doesn’t do anything. The error says “Failed to create activation request”. There is no administrator on the Mac so I cannot use startup disk. How can I get passed this or can I go to a Apple Store?

Failed to create activation request Macbook Pro with M1 Pro. I created a separate admin account as suggested by Screen Time. I used a complex password, copied it into clipboard, and converted my usual account to standard. I got an error message and logged out to check, when I logged back in, I saw the admin account, but the password from clipboard was gone. I went to Recovery Assisstant and it said that now I need to deactivate and then reactivate the Mac. Deactivation went successfully, as I don’t see the device in Find My, but I get this “Failed to create activation request”. I cannot start my Mac even with the standard account I know the password for.

Failed to create activation request I could not install any MacOS updates or new versions. It would repeatedly ask for the password. The current MacOS updates would not accept my password to install. I'm using an admin account and I know the correct password which works to login, etc. I followed instructions that had me reboot into safe mode and using the command line, running resetpassword. After reseting the account password, it said it need to deactivate the Mac and that I should have an internet connection. I did and it came back with the message: Failed to create activation request. How can I activate the computer without loosing my data? Why did it fail to create activation? Please help.

Activation Lock I erased all content from a MacBook Air that belongs to the agency I work for. We are going to sell some older MACs to employees. I was getting it ready to sell so I erased contents choosing, erase data from HD. Now when I boot the computer up, I get the round circle with an explanation point and the words support.apple.com./mac/startup -1008f. I have tried booting the computer while holding down command and R keys and some other key combinations I found in the article for apple support. The laptop is associated with an icloud account of someone that no longer works with us. I either cannot get past the activation lock or cannot get the computer to boot up with an OS. I am at a loss of what to do at this point.

Reset SMC and NVRAM, then erase and install, and try again.
