Application crashes when pressing menu in Sonoma 14.1.2

The application, Cubase Pro 10.0.60, has started to crash every time I press the application menu. This did not use to be the case. I have only updated macOS to the latest (Sonoma 14.1.2) and now this problem started! Cubase 10 runs under Rosetta 2, I believe. I tried reinstalling rosetta 2 by "softwareupdate --install-rosetta" in terminal. Macbook Pro M1.

Updating the OS should not cause apps to stop working! How can a pro get any work done?

That is an optimistic statement, upgrades can and do bork apps yes

Have you looked for some update or a compatibility issue for your Cubase Pro 10.0.60 released in 2018

Superficially I immediately see a Cubase Pro 13 ... (?) is current in 2023 — I would start there to solve your problem.

for your third party app—if in doubt search the developers website or contact their: Support/Help/FAQ/Known issues/compatibility/updates…

Thanks for your input, Cubase 10.0.60 is older software and hasn't been updated for a while. That's why it runs in the compatibility layer Rosetta 2.

This is most likely due to macOS, since it worked fine a few days/weeks ago.

Yes your app crashed— send the report to the developers support if they ask for it.

You can not expect older outdate third party software to keep running —that is why they update their software for compatibility.

even the current cubase 13 certain plug-in may require Rosetta2 to run on Apple Silicon—if I read it correctly.

Below I see Native version is listed:

please refer to the developers website for going forward.
