How do I transfer photos from iPhone 14 to Android?

My iphone 14+ won't send photos to any android phone, my wifes 2 day old iphone 15 also has the same problem. My daughters iphone 14 Pro doesn't have any problems.

We have tried every remedy that we can find on the internet but nothing works.

Thank you Mr. Lawrence Finch for this information! I tested by turning off WiFi and my photo was received by the Android user. I called my carrier, T-Mobile, quoted this thread and requested they reprovision my MMS on my iPhone and iPad. They did in 10 minutes,iPad first, and my problem with photos to Android users solved!!

Sending to non-iPhones uses SMS/MMS, which is a carrier provided service. If the following don’t work you will have to contact your carrier:

  • Go to Settings/Messages and make sure MMS is turned on; if there is no MMS switch your carrier hasn’t provisioned the service on your accounts
  • Make sure you have Cellular Data turned on; MMS requires it, and cannot use Wi-Fi

There were a huge number of cases where a carrier (Verizon) misconfigured the network settings for iPhone 14’s. The way to fix it is to contact your carrier’s tech support tier 2 (not the ones who answer initially, ask to be escalated). They need to remove MMS, then add it back. Some users discovered they could do this themselves using the carrier’s customer portal online.

Well, as MMS is 100% a carrier function, the problem is the carrier whether they try to pass the buck or not.

All you can do is:

  • Go to Settings/Messages and turn on MMS
  • If there is no MMS switch your carrier has not provisioned it on your account, so call your carrier
  • Turn on Cellular Data, because MMS cannot use Wi-Fi (the carrier can’t access your Wi-Fi)

Yes, what’s ridiculous is not understanding that Apple has NOTHING TO DO with sending to non-Apple devices; that is all the responsibility of your carrier, not your iPhone.

All you have to do is turn on MMS in Settings/Messages and Cellular Data (because MMS can’t use Wi-Fi).

If the switch doesn’t appear, or it doesn’t work, contact your carrier to fix your account.

All MMS messages go over cellular data; they cannot use Wi-Fi, so the Wi-Fi setting on your iPhone is irrelevant, and you must have a cellular network connection to send & receive MMS.

If it works sometimes it should work all the time, unless you have some app or feature on your phone that is blocking it, such as VPN or some app that claims to enhance your phone or clean it.

Did you ever figure this out? My iPhone 15 Pro Max stopped sending MMS after the new year. I sent an image to an Android buddy NYE, then a few days later I could not send any media to him. I tried two other Android buddies with no luck. Went through turning off the MMS and such and turning the obvious back on and no luck.

Oddly enough, I started getting charged for TEXT MESSAGES from VZW in January! Have had to call them twice now to remove the charges, because it's 2024 and who doesn't have free text messages?! I have been on the 5G Get More plan since it came out.

You have to call Verizon back and insist that they fix your account.

i am having this probably and it started earlier this year. the problem is hit or miss. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. i sent a pick to an android on Thurs and it went through, but then on Friday it would not send. but it let me send another pic yesterday. and now today i cannot send a pic to an android... i tried turning my phone on/off, turning mms on/off, turning Wi-Fi off to send over cellular... nothing is allowing me to send this photo...forgot to add, i have iPhone 15 pro max

dang it I just tried doing this then read your message that it didn’t work. I tried turning Wi-Fi off while sending the photo. I’ve been sending photos to my dad for years with him not receiving them. I’m sure many of my text messages did not make sense. So ridiculous. i’ve done all the things too. and I have AT&T it’s been an issue on several different devices for more than a year. It started way before the new year for me.
