What's the status of this for folks? I am in the "cannot send photos to android" boat. But weirdly I can receive photos from them. Just plain text (no images) is not an issue either.
- Carrier: Bell Canada
- Phone: iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS: 17.4.1
- MMS: enabled (I've checked with carrier to ensure it is on my account and not expired they said all good)
- iMessage: enabled (I've tried sending photo with this off as well = didn't work)
- Bell Tech Level 2 response: It's an Apple issue
- Apple Tech support: It's a carrier issue (ie Bell)
- Past two days I've spoken to 4 Bell tech people and one Apple tech person. Even had Apple tech call Bell tech for me and then transfer the call. Still waiting on another call from an escalated tech. Had a Bell tech support supervisor tell me earlier today that they could not escalate the call because it was not an issue on their end. This was after I called back when their Level 2 tech left a message for the call went straight to voicemail stating call apple. And the call centre guy didn't want to escalate based on that and the other notes on the first ticket.
- Read this thread and tried sending photo with wifi off = didn't work
I just want to figure out a way to fix it and speak to the right person who actually understands the issue and knows how to fix it. So far I do not think the Bell Canada tech support folks I've spoken to understand what I am trying to explain to them repeatedly (after all their exact same trouble shooting requests of me to try) or are skilled enough to know how to fix it.
If anyone knows the right wording to use to explain to the Bell carrier people in their phone carrier terminology/jargon that they will understand, please let me know. Or if anyone knows what someone who actually knew how to fix the issue did to fix your issue - please share so I can tell the next tech person who calls me.
Thank you
