my headphones are not apple products, let alone airpods, yet i got this popping up. my headphones arent name brand either so it isnt like they could be mistaken for something else. i do not have enough money to buy apple headphones. my headphones no longer make sound correctly due to this issue. how do i fix this??? im on an ipad and its never been an issue until yesterday.

Are these wireless earbuds, somewhat similar to the Apple AirPods? Can you provide us with their make & model?
The message you are seeing is when iPadOS "sees" the headphones/earbuds/etc., connected to it as "fake" versions of the AirPods.

Since you can't provide the make & model of these headphones, the only thing I can tell you is that your iPad "sees" them as a fake version of the Apple AirPods.

my ipad is functioning on 17 and the headphones are like actual headphones. these are not earbuds, and very much do not resemble or are supposed to resemble any apple producst. also yes, the message looks like that.
the message popping up is the apple unverified airpods message which again makes no sense
and no, the ipad i'm using is an ipad 9. not sure why it says ipad mini..
