Wrong user agent on safari 17

I have exactly the same problem like described in the thread below:

Safari on iOS 15.2 reports it's user agen… - Apple Community

I have iPhone XS running on the newest version of iOS 17.1.2.

Safari uses user agent string from iOS 7. It causes many problems on many websites.

i don’t have any safari extensions which could exchange user agent. Reloading ios from itunes did not help. Migration to new phone didn’t work either.

Of course i can configure system from scratch but I have so much apps and data that I would like to avoid this…

Probably deleting CustomUserAgent from defaults would help but I cannot do this on not rooted device.

Is there something that can solve my problem?

That iPhone's version of Safari should be reporting the following User Agent string:

Your user agent: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 17_1_2 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/17.1.2 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1
...

May I assume that's not what it is?

I'm going to ask the site Hosts to relocate your question to the iPhone - Apple Community. I don't have an iPhone XS but I doubt the hardware is relevant.

My current user agent:

Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 7_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/546.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0 Mobile/7E18WD Safari/8536.25

It looks like it hasn’t changed since my first iphone 4 and has been migrated again and again to next iphones over the following years. I’m going to switch to iphone 12 pro tomorrow and I’m almost sure that it will happen again …
