After upgrading to New iOS update 17.1.2 phone receiver stopped working.

Hello Team,

I updated the OS of my iPhone 12 Pro last week with 17.1.2 the latest update. After updating the OS the receiver has stopped working. Apple service center said few 12pro models manufactured in 2020 can get this problem. Now,

  1. if this was known problem for 12Pro models then why was the update pushed to these phones or atleast a warning message should have been shown to the user prompting to check any related information before upgrade. When there is an OS update available its a natural tendency to update the OS.
  2. I was also told the phone was eligible for such events under warranty ( 3 years from date of Purchase), but my phone's eligibility endedon 30th Oct 2023. This new update that caused the problem was released last week so how does it even fit with the statement here?

My request is to fix the reciever problem with new OS patch or get the receiver fixed from apple service center without any charges. I have been using apple phones since 13 years now, I at least deserve this much.

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. "Receiver" issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

This seems purely coincidental so please check the Setting on your device.

See what each update does: About iOS 17 Updates, About iOS 16 Updates, About iOS 15 Updates, About iOS 14 Updates, About iOS 13 Updates, About iOS 12 Updates, and so on...

I am in the Horn of Africa. After the 17.1.2 update, my wifi calling was locked. Apple support has had no support and has been no help. They blamed the carrier at first, even though it was working fine before the update. Since then, I have been locked out of my bank accounts due to a lack of third-party authentication. It's causing huge stress and issues—a complete failure on Apple's part. I will never again support them or their products. I also intend to file an FCC complaint as soon as I can.
