Hi,
When hovering the mouse cursor over the top or the bottom of a page in Pages, header and footer does not show up and page number can not be entered. I am wondering if there is a solution to this? or would appreciate anyone who can offer some clues to why and how to fix this issue.

Do you have the header/footer disabled in the Document panel? They are on by default in a default word processing document and off by default in a page layout document. Once you fix this in the Document's panel, you can enter your page number in the customary manner.
