Newest photos at top of screen in iOS 17 Photos

Someone asked this question exactly three years ago, but the reply given did not address the question.

“Hi all,

Got a silly question today.

How to I put the new photos in the Photos app at the top of my iPhone? In every other app, all new photos show up at the top of my screen, except in Photos. I've looked in all the places to edit Photos and I can't figure out where to change the scroll direction.

Anyone know if it's possible?”

Is there a solution yet?

Also, when using the Search feature in Photos, newest photos are at the top, while in Albums, Recents, etc new photos are at the bottom. Is there some way to change this to be consistent?
