My iPhone has just been updated and now has the Journal app. My iPad has also been updated to 17.2 but I don’t see the Journal app. I have tried using the iPhone version but I would much rather use the iPad and a keyboard to make notes about my day than the iPhone

Apple has said nothing about plans to add the feature to the iPad. You can let them know it's something you'd like to see here:
Meanwhile, you might want to look at Day One. It's a fantastic journal app.

Please add the Journal app to IPad. Had my IPhone stolen in Spain and can’t journal about my anger, sadness, and feelings of violation. That is on my IPad.

Forget keyboard, if you want a keyboard you can connect that to a phone. It’s the Apple Pen users who won’t touch the app until it’s on iPad
I keep hoping it comes to iPad. It would be a lot easier for me to type things out on the iPad using my Magic Keyboard

Day One has been my diary for a couple of years now, but it is a bit overloaded for my purpose, and the yearly subscription is not particularly cheap. I am hoping for both iPad OS and Mac OS versions of Apple Journal, fingers crossed!
Will there be a journal app on the iPad as there is now on the iPhone?
