Liquid detected on lightning connector

I airdried the connector, i do not use the connector for at least 24 hours to let dry. It worked for 2 weeks and then the liquid detection shows up again. I bought a new connector it works for a couple of weeks and it happens again, what could be the possible reason that it keeps showing? I never wet my phone and connector.

Liquid detection alert on iPhone I was given the notification that "Liquid has been detected in the lightning connector. Disconnect to allow connector to dry." Does this mean there is water in my phone or that specific charger I was using has water in it somehow? I connected my phone to another charger and it works perfectly fine. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
