recovery server could not be contacted

I erased my computer to trade it in. When I got to the step where I reinstall the software (macOS High Sierra is the only option), I get an error message that says: recovery server could not be contacted

What do I do now??

If you simply want to trade in your Mac, there is nothing else you need to do. Go ahead and trade it in. There is no need to install an operating system.

Apple no longer provides High Sierra through their macOS Recovery servers.
