USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter Not working after Sonoma Update

I purchased my USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter about two years ago for use with my 2020 Macbook Air M1. It normally works just fine but since the Sonoma 14 update, after about 10 minutes or so it stops working momentarily, and either the display on my monitor (which is connected to HDMI) shuts off for 15-30 seconds, or my power source that is plugged into the adapter stops charging.

I have tried other adapters (Dell) that connect HDMI to USBC and that does not have any issues, so I believe the issue is with the Apple adapter.

Is anyone else having similar issues?
