Does deactivating Find My Iphone mean I've reset the phone?

I have to send my Iphone XR to o2 for repair. They asked me to deactivate Find my Iphone which I've done; does this mean when I come to sell I have to separately factory reset the phone? I've bought another phone so will not be using this one anymore.

I'd be grateful for any help as I'm not tech savvy! Thanks.

I can't turn off Find My iPhone When I try to deactivate the option on the phone, it doesn't work, and when I log in from the website, I get this message: "Cannot remove the iPhone. Do you want to prepare it for trade-in or repair? This iPhone is associated with your Apple account and cannot be removed while it is online, but you can prepare it for trade-in or repair." I just want to reset my phone from the Mac, but for that I need turn off Find My Iphone

No, by deactivating Find My you haven't reset the iPhone.
