Can two people have the same model number and version

My AirPods were recently stolen by one of my siblings, I wanted to find out before jumping to conclusions and I checked everywhere. Recently my brother got airpods after I lost mine so I accused him of it, i was wrong. Now to the real problem, my younger brother has a new airpod case and i connected my phone to it after i opened it noticing the similarities in my airpods, he changed the name but the serial number and the version are alike ill show receipts too are these my AirPods? Please someone help me!

Everyone in the world who owns the same generation of AirPods has the same model number and version.

The only way to identify your AirPods would be by the serial inside the case.

Hey! You cannot have the same serial number i figured it out after i found my airpods my cats threw it across my room and were playing with it and got it stuck behind the dressers lol.. i hope you find yours! You can go insane looking for them

I am having the SAME EXACT problem right now! I think my little brother took my AirPods. I asked him to show me his AirPods info on his Apple settings and both Model and Version numbers are the same as mine however there are slight differences in the serial number. Please let me know what happened after!
