A1644 Bluetooth keyboard malfunctioned after firmware update 1.6.0

Hi, I started to use my old iMac with its original magic keyboard (A1644).

After some use, I started to upgrade the OS system and the keyboard and mouse firmware.

Unfortunately, after the update, the keyboard started to malfunction.

From a quick search online the only thing that I found was this question but there is no solution there

Like the question above I think it is a firmware problem, but it seems there is no way to downgrade firmware.

The keyboard is in good condition and only after the update it started to malfunction. It's frustrating and it is not a good reason to buy a new one.

Is there any solution I can apply to fix it?

iMac 27″, macOS 12.7

I would try another keyboard (doesn't have to be from Apple).

I don't have a solution for you, but have you tried contacting Apple Support directly to see if they do? If not, to do so, simply select the "Support" link on the lower left-hand side of this forum's web page.

The symptoms are very similar to the link I attached. Some keys work, some doesn't and some work as different key. For example, the enter key mutes and the escape key toggle the caps lock (turn the light in the keyboard).

Which all together makes it usable.
