Adding Font to Pages

Briliant Tom! When I first posed the question, I did so because in a Pages document, selecting Text > Font only yields these 3 fonts beginning with D (top screenshot).

I didn’t realize that by going to the Menu bar at the top of the screen and then choosing

Format > Font > Show Fonts > All Fonts

would give me access to an infinitely larger font library (bottom screenshot) which includes my desired Devanagari Sangam font. So thanks to your input I now realize that I can have way more fonts than offered from the Pages document window.  Another question though arises. In the Pages document font list, you get to see what the fonts actually look like. Is there a way to tweak the All Font window so that it also shows what the appearance of the fonts are?

You're right it does show up but only for the document that you have selected it from the All Fonts choices.

When you open a new Pages document, it's no longer there.

It's not a big deal but it would be nice to somehow make this font a permanent part of the font list in Pages.
