Random blank pages in books in the Books app.

Hi!

I hope I’m not alone in this but I’ve noticed since the IOS 17.2 update that books show random blank pages in the middle of chapter. Like right in the middle of reading a sentence, I would turn the page but it would turn up blank but the page after that continues where I left off. I thought something was wrong with some books I downloaded but I’ve noticed the same with my older books that I know were “whole” before the update. I’m experiencing this on my iPad since it’s the one I mostly use for reading. Is anyone else experiencing this or have any idea what the cause might be and how to get rid of it?

I just updated to iOS 17.4 and the blank pages have disappeared so I think they’ve fixed the issue.

Hi, I had the same issue and came here looking for answers, but I have managed to fix it: I was reading my book in “calm” mode (the beige page background), and kept coming across blank pages. I reset the theme to “original”, and no longer had the issue. However it returned as soon as I changed from the original theme settings. It’s a little annoying, but I’m reading in original now, and hoping that at some point an app update will pry out the blank pages issue with custom themes.

I've been seeing this issue for several months. I am using the "original" theme. I tried switching to "paper," and that might have fixed it for now.

Do the comments here get added to a bug database for the developers, or is there another method of reporting bugs?
