I am changing my sim card from Shaw to Rogers. I have an iPhone 11. The card I am removing has two corners with slants. The new sim card only has one slant on the left. Do I cut the right corner to have a slant as well?

The sim card should fit snugly in the iPhone's sim tray with only one slanted corner as only one side of the sim card tray has that slant.

No way to know. The Sim tray on an iPhone only has one corner slanted. Are you sure the Rogers sim card is a nano sim card compatible with iPhone?
I suggest you contact Rogers and make sure you have the correct SIM.
Perhaps if you post a picture of your Rogers sim card we can tell you. Otherwise we are just guessing at what might be the issue.
