According to what I was able to investigate, the alarm turns off by itself after 15 minutes of ringing.
However, I have insisted with the developers at Apple that they provide the possibility of setting how long you want the alarm to turn off. For example after 30 seconds, a minute etc...
I've seen this feature in other brands and it's very convenient.

This would be a reasonable project to take on while learning to code, as well. It’s a fairly isolated project without a whole lot of interactions past the UI code and some timer code. In short, consider writing your own alarm app. If you think it’s going to be popular, make the source code available (free), or load it into the app store and sell it or sell subscriptions.
