AppleTV lastest version 17.2 BBC iPlayer is no longer streaming. It has a black screen and a red circle crossed tthrough. All updated and rebooted still will not work How to fix this please?

Try this for any misbehaving app:
Apple TV is a USA company and they cannot be bothered about a UK based app such as BBC iPlayer so don’t expect to get this fixed.
Ive moved away from Apple TV to Amazon FireStick which includes Apple TV and a much smaller device too!
I have tried everything suggested but iPlayer will still not stream. I emailed BBC iPlayer tech team and they replied that its not there fault, nothing wrong with app. Frustrating as someone is passing the buck! There must be a glitch in either the app or the Apple TV box. Any one solved this yet?
I am extremely cross that my Apple TV no longer supports BBC iPlayer due to the latest update. I have stopped automatic updates. It’s such a poor service from a much vaunted provider

What is weird is that it ONLY does this for certain live streaming events for me and not all of them.
No idea why AT all and it is extremely frustrating!!
Apple has nothing to do with third party apps or streaming content.
Any issues experienced with BBC iplayer is the responsibility of the BBC application team.
