Watch 7 ECG app unresponsive

I have an Apple Watch 7. My watch has no damage and shows no issues except My ECG app no longer works. When instructed by the ECG app to hold my finger on the Digital Crown nothing happens, it is as though it doesn’t register that my finger is there. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, unpairing my watch, hard reset on both the watch and my iPhone, as well as cleaning the back of my watch and the crown .. I see there are many people with the same issue. How can I fix it?
