I use an official Apple brand charger ( purchased a few months ago in the Apple store)
for my 11 phone. It stopped working, I tried all my outlets and a different charger and the phone still would not respond.
I now plugged it into my computer, and it is charging. However, That is not a good solution for me for it to Only charge through my laptop

Which exact power adapter ("charger") did you purchase directly from the Apple Store? Those that are Apple products come with a one-year hardware warranty against manufacturing defects.
As such, I suggest that you take it back to the store and have an Apple Technician examine it. I also suggest that you bring your iPhone as well. Based on what the technician finds, you may be able to get a replacement for little or no cost to you.

If I was to venture a guess, there is either some debris in the Lightning port, or the port is physically damaged, as to the potential reasons that the phone is not getting the proper current from the power adapter.
FYI ... the iPhone's "charger" is actually built into the phone. It controls the amount of current coming in from a power adapter during the charging process. However, most folks use these terms interchangeably, just letting you know.
It seems like it’s the phone since it won’t charge with my other charger.
I don’t understand the tech of why it is charging plugged into my laptop. None of my chargers.
Thank you so much for your reply. I made an appointment at Apple for tomorrow and will bring the phone and the charger. I don’t think it’s the charger. I now think it’s something going on in my phone but I shall find out tomorrow.
