Costco Applecare+ Activation

For folks who are wondering esp during the holiday season, here are the steps to enroll/activate Applecare+ at Costco:

** Immediately upon receiving the Apple device at Costco merchandise pickup after purchase, the Costco employee needs to help you activate your Applecare+ at the Apple kiosk right there near the pickup podium. It is very important that you enroll/activate the same day as your purchase before you leave the warehouse.

** There is a reminder on your Costco paper receipt to enroll/activate your Applecare (and the employee should sign off on it), but we did not catch this until getting home and the warehouse was closed.

** We went back to the warehouse the following day and ended up getting a refund from Costco for the Applecare+ because we had already opened the device and added the serial number to our AppleID. Then we added the Applecare+ on our own for a slight upcharge directly from the settings for the Apple device.
