Nearly Full iCloud Storage Despite Deleting Things

Hello! I have an iPhone 13, and it’s my first and only iPhone and first and only product with iCloud. My iCloud Drive has 0KB. After deleting most of my iMessage conversations, hundreds of photos even from the recently deleted section (leaving only 155 and 16 videos), deleting almost all my apps, and turning off backup data for almost all remaining apps, I still have 4.8/5 GB full. 4.2 GB of that is from my only backup file from 7 months ago (around when I first got this phone). I went to settings>apple ID>iCloud>manage account storage>backups, and that is where I see my singular backup that says it’s for this iPhone. I went into the backup details and tapped the switch that turns off backups and deletes iCloud data for many of my apps. Still, it did nothing to reduce the amount of storage my backup is taking up. I even updated my phone. What’s going on here?
