Issues with the Beats Over-Ear Headphone cushion pads

These are amazingly disappointing. For the amount they cost in Toronto Canada, they should rightly stand up to a lot more use before descending into horrible disrepair. The pads started peeling within 18 months of "normal use". The left-side arm has failed and will not retract properly. What a shame - and I thought to myself, "I'll spend a bit more and get a reputable brandname product". Yet another reminder, buyer beware.

Sorry, but I can't tell from your post, if you're asking for fellow Apple-product users for technical assistance with this matter, or just making a statement to others of what your experience has been with these headphones.

It appears that this could be a potential manufacturing defect. As such, since you have had them for 18 months, they would be outside of Apple's one-year hardware warranty, but would still be inside the additional year warranty if you elected to purchase an AppleCare+ plan with them. If you did, then I would suggest that you take them to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them examine them. If they find it to be a defect, you may find yourself getting a replacement pair for little or no cost to you.
