Remote in control center shuts TV off

I have used the remote in control center for years. Just recently I noticed anytime I use any action on the remote it just shuts the TV off completely. If I use the toggle to left or right or simply press the middle button the tv just shuts off every time. I Would appreciate any help with this issue.
