Can't open old .MOV files anymore!

2 out of 3 of my .mov travel video files are no longer open/playable (whether in QuickTime Player, Apple TV or even updated VLC). The message says: your file is not QuickTime Player compatible.

I value these files and don't know what could have corrupted them.

On the finder, they appear like this. The middle file opens just fine.

Do you have any idea how to recover these files?

Note: this problem has existed for several years, whatever OS I've had since Big Sur and my Mac Book pro is always up to date with the OS.
