Eject button and every trace of my DVD-R in my Mac Superdrive are invisible, can't eject.

I burned some iMovie files to my Superdrive from my MacBook air. I played one of them to make sure it recorded. Now the DVD-R (and thus the drive and eject button) is invisible in finder and cannot eject the disk. I'm running Sonoma 14.1.2. I've tried signing out and in. I've tried shutting down and restarting, and a few other things I'd read about.

Is there a way to eject the disk, or to get it to show in the Finder? Thank you for help.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.1

Usually restarting the computer while holding down the trackpad pad, or mouse button, will eject the disc.

Or you can restert while holding down the option key and, when the disc’s icon appears on yor desk top, eject it with the eject button.

Not sure if this will work, but worth a try.

Go to your Applications folder > Utilities>Disk Utility.

Normally you would see on the left hand side, along with your internal drive, the DVD drive and an eject button.

Try clicking on that.

I attempted that technique several times, and it did not work. But I did find my way into the disk utility and I was able to reject from there. Thank you for your answer.
