Siri on Apple Watch wants me to agree to latest Privacy Agreement for Podcasts, but I see no way to do so.

I will often use Siri on my Apple Watch to start playing Podcasts on my phone. This has worked consistently since I got the watch, until a couple weeks ago. Now, every time I tell Siri on my watch to "Play Podcasts," it responds saying, "To listen to Apple Podcasts, you'll need to accept the latest privacy agreement."

When I use Siri directly on my iPhone (or through my AirPods), I don't get this roadblock, and I have tried to find where I can accept this Privacy Agreement, but I'm pretty sure that I already have. Is this a glitch in how the Apple Watch is communicating with my iPhone? How can I fix this issue, so that my watch and phone can go back to working together effectively?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there! I think I just figured it out via reading a Reddit post about this topic. If you open the music app it prompts you to agree to new terms. After I clicked agree in the Music app, Siri now opens and plays podcast when I ask her. Hope this helps.

I found that on iPhone 14, due to me disabling notifications on the podcast app that the new T&C popup wasn’t showing. Went into settings and re-enabled notifications, then closed podcast app, used Siri to launch, and got the error message, then the popup appeared on screen and I was able to accept. The same may work for you and may help with the above watch issue?

Thank you for the possible solution! I tried it, as you said, but it still did not work when using Siri on the watch to launch. Siri on my iPhone (13 mini) launches the podcast app without any sort of error message, so I'm guessing that there's a bug in the latest watchOS and how it talks to the iPhone.
