Serial number of Apple pen 2

Hi i bought an Apple Pencil 2 and now the serial number of box and the pen, aren’t same. And in my country when i want to use warranty they didn’t accept my pen because of this problem

Apple pen - warranty inquiry Hello, I would like to know if there is some sort of warranty for the apple pen that I have bought last year. I know I have added the apple pen to the transaction of the iPad and it said that I would receive 3 years of warranty. Hope to hear back. Thanks :)
