i got an apple pencil usb-c it wont pair with my ipad 6th generation

it doesn’t show up as a device on my Bluetooth settings

An iPad 6th generation can just support an Apple Pencil 1st generation, sorry, as per this compatibility list:--> Apple Pencil compatibility - Apple Support
