The SiriusXM App update for January 2024 is a steaming pile of unfinished-nonfunctional-irritating JUNK.
It is a ‘somebody gets FIRED” event that ruined my music selections this morning, cost me an hour trying just to get a couple of channels, and made me question why I’m paying for it!
This SiriusXM FAIL raises a more glaring issue in our AppStore download present, the near impossible ability to go back to a previous version of an app or software which functions better, or just more to the users taste. In the days of hard copy discs loaded with software it could be done. I believe I even used Time Machine to fix a modification that I wanted to undo, but that was on my desktop Mac, and not my iPadPro, that find myself producing more and more hours of work on everyday… always with my music playing.
While Apple had nothing to do with the debacle update that SiriusXM dropped on their paying customers, I think it’s time for Apple to step up and provide a “Restore to Previous Version” to the our app menus. We need that function to include “undo iOS update” also, for those times when we find an essential app hasn’t been updated for the new iOS, and we need to continue using it for our work until the developer gets around to updating it.
YES, I have an extensive iTunes library and my wife has Apple Music, which we use.
None of the fixes mentioned here are working on my iPa or AppleTV as of right now.
