Sirius XM app stops playing on iPhone when screen turns off

New problem: while streaming Sirius, when the screen timed out, the streaming stops. Never had this problem before. Is there a fix?

For what it’s worth - I have the same problem. I tried deleting and reinstalling, which worked briefly but now back to the same behavior. For me, it is rendering the app mostly useless, because who walks around with their phone unlocked all the time? My sense is this is an iOS issue and not an SXM issue.

I read in a separate post that the Sirius XM app had a recent update that may have fixed the issue. Maybe check the app update section on your iPhone to see if an update is available?

How to check your iPhone for an app update:

  1. Open the App Store app
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top right hand side of the screen
  3. Scroll down to the available update section
  4. If you don't see that section, your apps should all be updated

My app is up to date no pending updates and it constantly disconnects and says it is not connected to the internet.

Why is this an issue since going to IOS18?

It isn't for most people.

If you haven't restarted since you updated, do that. Delete all the apps that are crashing and re-load them. Check to see when the apps were last updated. If it was a while ago, it may be that the developer hasn't finished updating for iOS 18.
