iPhones and being directed to spam sites

Hi everyone, I have used Firefox on my iPhone quite a bit (I just like it and used it with previous android phone). The last few days I am having trouble with a few sites redirecting me to 3 or 4 other sites then landing on a spam site (iosvpndefender and then one is telling me my iPhone has been hacked). I never click on anything and I haven’t installed questionable (or new!) apps recently that I can remember. I have deleted Firefox then redownloaded it. I tried. A brave browser I found just to compare and it does the same thing. I don’t use safari much but it seemed to work there, but I have had that issue with safari on a different site before. So, anyone have any advice or help for me? I thought about buying like a McAfee subscription but I’m not positive it’s necessary. The free scan didn’t show anything. Thank you for your help!
