I can’t get passed the Create your Account during set up for my used IMac

I purchased a used 2015 IMac and trying to set it up, but I can’t seem to get passed the create your account during set up. It keeps loading. I restarted multiple times and this is how far I can go.

If the previous owner did not properly prepare and erase the iMac for resale,

as per > What to do before you sell, give away, trade in, or recycle your Mac - Apple Support

then you are stuck with a giant door stop.

At this point, if you can not erase, reinstall and make the iMac your own as per the above article, then you need to contact the seller and have them remove it from their user ID or return it to them.

den.thed is 100% correct, if you cannot get it reset you have wasted your money and time. Please return the computer to get your money back and if you cannot afford a new Mac consider an Apple refurbished Mac or purchase from a reputable reseller such as Macsales.com. NEVER EVER buy a used Mac from:

  • Your best friend
  • Local computer store
  • Ebay
  • Marketplace
  • Craigslist
  • Facebook
  • etc....

Why, for the reason you are running into right now.
