“Unjunking” text messages

I’ve been having issues after accidentally marking messages as junk.

I received a response that says “it takes hust two seconds to fix” just open the recently deleted folder and mark “unjunk”

if it was only that easy, I have just two options - recover all or delete all.

where is this “magical” unjunk bottom? My iPhone is running iOS 17.3

any advice????

iPhone SE, iOS 17

I have been an Apple user for many years and have never seen an Unjunk button. Perhaps that used to be an option but was changed in one of the iOS updates. I do not know. Who sent you that response saying, "it should take two seconds ..."? Bottom line, you want to be able to receive messages and calls from a number you sent to junk, right? If the process I suggested did not accomplish that, then try this to remove a sender from Junk, which is now called Blocked.

  • Open Settings > Phone
  • Scroll down to Blocked Contacts.
  • For each number you wish to unblock, find it and swipe to the left to see UnBlock. Tap it. This should provide the same affect as un-junking it.

Let's keep the focus on what you want the end result to be rather than looking for a button that may no longer exist.

Thank you, that I am 100% proficient at, where is the option, where I have been told to “unjunk” message?

when you mark a message as junk, the sender can still send you messages, however you receive no alert text from that sender - that’s the main issue that I seem to have misscummated on a number of posts

when I have called Apple support they are “worthless” as after checking ever setting in my phone (which were set correctly) they just say - beats me

i can not phantom that Apple would instal a feature without creating an undo option

some comments have stated it’s the provider blocking them, other blame software, and yet one comment stated to recover them and mark as “unjunk”. If this person is accurate where is the unjunk button where I can once again hear alerts From these contacts
