Safari Crops Streaming Video While In Full Screen. Since updating my MacMini M2 to Sonoma (14-14.2.1) streaming videos from Netflix and Max are cropped on the right side by roughly a third. I do not experience this while watching streaming videos with Chrome and Firefox. I prefer using Safari because in general its a better experience (only while its updatable) and I feel its more secure. What's the fix?
On macOS the only way to watch Netflix in 4k resolution (Ultra HD) is via Safari. Other browsers will provide a lower quality experience unfortunately.
Workaround:
To exit full screen press the Esc key or move the mouse cursor to the very top of the screen for a bit to unhide the tool bar then click on the green button top-left of the window. Clicking on the Netflix full screen button will not work.
