half the time when I import a video using the 'my media' feature the video becomes like this and I can't load it. It's so annoying and usually I can fix it by dragging the video out of the photo app and putting it into imovie, but it doesn't work for this either.
I also have a problem where imovie just doesn't allow me to upload some videos, showing a đźš«.
Try deleting/Resetting preferences. To delete/reset preferences, open iMovie close and then open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new empty library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Possibly you may need to reboot
to set the changes. Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your
project.
