Hi I have ordered apple 20 W adapter online & my friend purchased it from apple authorised store. Both the adapters have same R-number, though serial no. is different on both the adapters. I want to confirm if 2 adapters can have same R-number.

If you purchased this power adapter from the Apple online store, then is should be an original Apple product. They are typically produced in China, although Apple also have them produced in other countries, like India.
FWIW. I'm not sure what the "R" number is as the power adapter I have (also produced in India) does not have this number at all. Instead it has an "E" number ... but this could be different as my adapter is made to work with North American electrical outlets.
