My Apple Watch no longer unlocks my Mac mini (Intel). It was working fine, and my watch still unlocks my MacBook Pro. I was going to disable and re-enable this in the Mini system preferences, but the option is no longer there. I have rebooted everything, ensured that they are all logged in with the same apple it, wifi and blue tooth is enabled.
Seems you need to be signed in to iCloud using the same Apple ID on both your Mac mini and Apple Watch.
Your Mac mini needs to have macOS 10.13 or later installed.

I'm not sure how, but it reappears after lots of "fussing." However, at first it would not stay selected. As it turned out I had to log out and re-login within the messages app to get this solved.
I have confirmed that all devices are logged into the same Id.
