Removing & Reinstalling Mail Account: Implications for other Apps

Consequence for deleting and reinstalling email on Mac Mail.

---To remedy a problem, that is: not able to receive emails on my MacBook, advice points to deleting and reinstalling the (at&t)email account on my Mac Mail app. Note that on the Mac Mail App, I am able to receive emails, just not send.

-------Get the "error" message and cannot fix with the 'edit smtp server list' prompt/routine-- so looks like I need to delete and reinstall. (I can send and receive emails on my iPhone and on my at&t web browser mail client.)

---But when I start the process, I get the warning: "remove data from Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders & Notes"

----I understand that my IMAP emails are on the web browser server, but what about the other apps? Calendar, Contacts, Notes??? (Also have b/u via time machine and online b/u) I do have Cloud b/u as well.)

Thanks for helping me understand whether the linked data (calendar, contacts, etc.) is in jeopardy of loss with this process
