Magic Keyboard keys add weird characters

Hello.

When typing I get weird characters on some keys.

e = e<

o = o4

p = p5

...

I tried to reset and reconnect the device
Safe mode = no success
Latest MacOS is installed
Direct USB connection doesn't help
Battery is 100% loaded
Keyboard layout is set correctly (DE)

Keyboard worked before latest MacOS update.

The letters appear, than followed by the 4 or $. So typing the word ‘conversion’ ends up as ‘conv4er4sion’. I’ve restarted the computer and disconnected the keyboard for a bit, but so far no good. New Magic Keyboard typing wrong characters I just received my replacement magic keyboard and it's still typing the wrong characters. When I hit shift 2 I get this symbol instead ! When I hit shift for apostrophe I get this : When I tried to do a factory reset, it just sits and churns and it also says that the keyboard is not discoverable in blue tooth mode buy yet I'm typing this with the keyboard hooked up to bluetooth. I need your help. The keyboard is set up properly in system preferences for the country I live in (USA). Any help would be greatly appreciated. this is the computer I use iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) running macOS Monterey Very Frustrated¡¡¡¡ Oh, I guess I get that when I type for exclamation marks....

Try another keyboard, it sounds like that one could be damaged.
