Have the lastest ipad update and my kindle app keeps crashing. It opens for a few seconds and then closes. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

If it only happens using that app, and if you're sure that your Kindle app is updated, try a forced restart of your iPad: put it on charge for at least half an hour, then, keeping it plugged in, use these instructions:

sarah - thanks for sharing your conversation with Amazon - have seen many people having the issue but no actions other than removing the app/reinstalling it (to no avail).
Kindle app is working again on my iPhone, still busted on iPad.

My kindle app has been crashing for the last 12 hours, have restarted iPad several times to no effect. Same thing on my iPhone. When will this be fixed as problem seems to be at kindle end?
Same for iPad. Kindle works on my Windows computer - if you want to read from a computer at your desk instead of cozy in bed with the blanket pulled up.
Drat. That works but I already uninstalled/reinstalled - so nothing is downloaded.

I went on the app when i woke up and it was working again, it hasn’t closed on me yet
