migrate music library

Hello, I am going to buy a new mac and sell the old one. I use Apple Music for some streaming but 90% of the music come from my own CD's so I uploaded my own MP3s in apple music and I use it to Sync to all my devices.

My whole library is uploaded in Apple Music's cloud.

What would you do?

Would you just sync the new mac with apple music and download all the music or would you manually migrate the library via HDD from the old mac to the new one?

And so what would happen to apple music library in the cloud? will it be overwritten?

See Move your iTunes/Music library to a new computer - Apple Community. You could rely on the iCloud Music Library however your library might contain some excluded content, or originals that have been slightly mismatched, e.g. explicit versions replaced by clean ones in the cloud, that could be lost if don't copy the whole physical library. It is up to you. I would recommend that at the very least you have backups of your CD rips and non-Apple purchases somewhere to fall back on if needed.
