iTunes won’t accept my debit cards

Tried purchasing app on iPhone 11promax. Never had any problems in the past. All of sudden Apple ID popped up on screen and said your debit card is about to expire. My debit card doesn’t expire until 2027. I removed my debit card from payment method and tried adding it back, and now it won’t accept it at all. Keeps saying this payment method can’t be used with iTunes Store. So I tried adding a different card and it says the same thing.

what is happening ?????

I was on phone with Apple tech and they tried literally everything. The only option for me was to report my debit card lost. I went to the bank app and it took me about 3-5 minutes to get a new digital bank card and add it to Apple Pay. Works good.
