Monterey 12.7.2 on Mac Pro (Late 2013) - Finder glitch with showing files

In some cases there is a folder with multiple files that appears empty.

In the reverse case there is a folder showing that had already been deleted.

Rebooting the system works for some time but then it re exhibits it's symptoms.

One example:

I use "Flac to Any Pro" to convert music files from Flac to mp3 format. The output files to do a destination under the native Music folder. Nominally I find all the outputs here. When the issue is happening, the conversion happens and indicates the files have been converted, however the destination folder appears empty. Info on the folder shows it is empty. I then copy this folder to another location, open it and boom, there are my files.

Another reverse example:

I move a folder from my Mac's drive to an always connected portable SSD. Nominally the move happens and the old folder is disappeared. When the issue is present, the files are copied, but it appears that the folder still exists in the old location. The sub folders also exist. Try to delete them, and the system says they can't be found (Error code -43)

This has happened at least 3 different instances in the last couple months, I should have tracked the dates and os version earlier.

Both cases are temporarily fixed with a reboot.

Start with this...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Let us know the results please.
