StandBy problem after 17.2.1 update (cross-posted to r/iphone)

After 17.2.1 update on IPhone 15 ProMax - Noticed last night that the StandBy screen looked like this. Tried to reset the settings for StandBy mode (turn off-on and same for Night Mode and Motion to wake under Display settings) and also tried a reboot. I would sometimes get a quick flash of the normal StandBy view then it would revert to the bad screen.

Found a hack so that when I get the incomplete screen (while on an Anker magsafe charger), I can rotate the phone 180 degrees and the complete clock and weather data shows up. When I remove and replace the phone on the charger, it reverts back to the incomplete screen.

Also, my spouse has the identical phone, OS version, and charger and does not have this issue. Maybe a software compatibility issue since that is the only major difference between phones?

Forgot about this post - Found this on Reddit and it worked a charm:

For anyone interested, I found the (logical but somewhat odd) solution.

This error will happen if the lock screen widgets access is switched off

in "Allow access when locked" under Settings>Face ID and Passcode. I

must have switched it off when recently fidddling with security

settings. Odd becasue there was no mention of StandyBy mode.

My standby mode doesn’t work at all since 17.2.1 update. It ***!
