Loading music from a cd to apple music

I must be doing something wrong- cannot add cd to library

Are you arefollowing the relevant one of these guides?

Import songs from CDs into iTunes on PC - Apple Support

Import songs from CDs into iTunes on Mac - Apple Support

Import songs from CDs into Music on Mac - Apple Support

Also, if the problem is only occurring on one CD, the issue may be with the CD itself, e.g. defective or dirty.
