IPad Calibrate Screen pops up…

My iPad Mini 4 just started doing this same thing when using the Walmart app or the Walmart website via Safari. Tried hard restarting the iPad, hard closing the app, deleting and reinstalling the app and none of those measures worked. It still persists with Walmart.

Mine is on shopping sites also. Could this be some kind of spam?

Same thing is happening to me, but it locks up my entire iPad. You can’t even do the calibration because the screen is just frozen. How can you fix this?

I tried the hard reset and the problem is still there.

previously I deleted the Walmart app and reinstalled and there was no change.

Does anything else work?

Since this is happening in so many apps, and only on iPads who do we contact but you. We cannot contact the calibrate app developer.

My ipad just started doing this a week ago when using my apps for studying such as quizlet and notabilty. All apps are up to date. Restarting does not resolve the issue.

I was gonna go on a trip, so I updated my ipad mini4 in a rush without backing up to 15.8.1. Huge mistake! Now every time I open shopping apps I get this pop up calibrating thing. Its constantly reopening or stuck on my screen. I have never gotten this kind of thing on my ipads starting from ipad 2 to ipad pro, ever. Its almost like a malicious hack software constantly popping up. Why is it only popping up when Im shopping? Is this some kind of security issue? Should I be worried about my info stored in my app? Can someone address this problem properly? Its extremely disturbing and worrying. Just because you stop offering the previous version, I can’t even downgrade. I feel like I’m being trapped by this. I was on the walmart app too.

Exactly the same for me here in the UK. I use Quizlet daily and get a flashing calibrate page behind the Quizlet app. Thinking I should just recalibrate as it states to do I then get a frozen screen and have to restart the iPad. Did you manage to find any permanent solution? Thanks in advance.

I've just been 2+ hours on the phone with apple support. This is an emerging issue and my call was escalated. Nothing worked. The hack actually prevented me from fully powering off the phone. It prevented a forced update via connection to the computer. The supervisor had me use up & down volume & power buttons to get my iPad 4 mini to power off. I always pressed the home button & power button to power off. Any way we tried so many things including turning the location services off as suggested in an earlier post. However, even though Apple has an update to address this, my iPad OS is 15. My ipad4 mini is too old and can't get the newer OS updates.The only solution for me is to delete the Walmart app from my ipad4 mini. No sweat. Going to Walmart.com and signing into my account on my iPad4 works with no issues. I hope this helps.

Same is happening to me in Kickstarter app. I’ve tried all the usual fixes (force restart) and nothing. Running iPad 5th Generation, IOS 16.7.4. Latest version it will run. Any thoughts?

iPad calibrate screen keeps coming up on Walmart app ! How do you get rid of it?

I tried that, didn't work. The problem persists on my iPad 5th gen, with the latest OS, using the Zillow app. Its quite inconvenient, as I use Zillow multiple times/day for my work.

I've tried every fix suggested, short of throwing the iPad in the trash.

I notice several users also mention its happening on their iPad 5th gen.

Is this a "planned obsolescence" trigger?

I have this same issue now while using my Quizlet app on my ipad 5. Had to delete the app.
